Dream's End – 2000 X-Men Crossover (Marvel) torrent

When Senator Robert Kelly wants to be the next President of the United States, the Brotherhood of Mutants sets out to kill him again (the Brotherhood had a failed assassination attempt in the Days of Future Past story arc). But Mystique intends to do more than just assassinating Kelly, and she has got something up her sleeve!

The X-men split into two forces. One group protecting Senator Kelly from the reformed Brotherhood of Mutants and the other sets out to find out what Mystique is doing on Muir Island, where Dr. Moira MacTaggert is working on a cure to the Legacy Virus.

The events of this story would have major repercussions for the X-Men and they would suffer the loss of friends and a teammate. It was followed directly into the Eve of Destruction storyline
