Crusty old Greger Stehn and his equally unpopular dogs are poisoned with botulinum. Despite drawing out 20 million krone from the bank Greger lived in a hovel opposite a block of luxury flats where the wives are into yoga, keep fit and botox - which uses botulinum.

Wallander is adapted from the late Henning Mankell's Kurt Wallander novels, and comprises 32 films in all.
This 1st series of 13 films was produced in 2005 and 2006, with one taken directly from a novel and the remainder with new storylines suggested by Mankell. The BBC aired all 32 episodes of the Swedish television versions on BBC Four.
