"Love Drunk" is the first and lead single taken from Boys Like Girls' upcoming sophomore album of the same name.

The music video began shooting on June 29, 2009, and features American actress and singer Ashley Tisdale. "Ashley was awesome -- she played the lead girl," Martin Johnson says. "We did this faux arcade set-up with the band as [carnival] guys. She makes all the guys in the arcade fall for her and then it has a surprise ending."

The music video has been set for a August 3rd release date on MTV, but the video is available to watch now onand other video streaming sites.

The song premiered on MySpace and was released via iTunes on June 30, 2009. The song was sent to mainstream radios in United States on July 7, 2009.

The melody of the first lines in the song's chorus greatly resemble the chorus of The Killers' hit song "Somebody Told Me." the song has reached number 9 on the MTV Weekend Countdown (week of August 9th), and number 34 on American Top 40 with Ryan Seacrest (week of August 8th) and number 35 on Rick Dees Weekly Top 40 (week of August 8th).

Boys Like Girls is an American rock band from Boston, Massachusetts. The bands members are Martin Johnson (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Paul DiGiovanni (lead guitar, backup vocals), Bryan Donahue (bass guitar, backup vocals), and John Keefe (drums).

Boys Like Girls gained mainstream recognition when they released their self-titled debut album Boys Like Girls. They were the co-headliners with Good Charlotte for the Soundtrack of Your Summer Tour 2008 that toured across the U.S.

The group's second studio album Love Drunk, is currently scheduled for a September 8, 2009 release date.
