"You Got It (The Right Stuff)" is a 1988 single from New Kids on the Block. The second single from the group's second album Hangin' Tough, it peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart in early 1989, while topping the UK charts in November 1989.

The single appeared in the Top 40 for the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 singles chart the week of January 14, 1989, rising from #45 to #37. "You Got It" reached its peak of #3 the week of March 11, 1989. Altogether, "You Got It (The Right Stuff)" spent 5 weeks in the Top 10, 8 weeks in the Top 20, and 13 weeks in the Top 40. The song was number one in Australia in August 1989.

The song can be heard in the 1989 film, The Wizard. In 1992, "Weird Al" Yankovic parodied the song on his Off the Deep End album as "The White Stuff," a loving ode to Oreo cookies.

New Kids on the Block (also known as NKOTB) are an award-winning American pop group that enjoyed success in the late 1980s and early 1990s as a boy band, being widely regarded as the first true example of the genre. Assembled in Boston in 1984 by producer Maurice Starr, the members consist of brothers Jordan and Jonathan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, and Danny Wood. The group went on to sell over 70 million albums worldwide, generated hundreds of millions of dollars in concert revenues, and paved the way for acts like Backstreet Boys, Take That and *NSYNC. They won two American Music Awards in 1990 for Favorite Pop/Rock Band, Duo, or Group and Favorite Pop/Rock Album for Hangin' Tough. After having disbanded in 1994, several attempts were made to get the group back together, all of them unsuccessful. They reunited in 2008 and took on a new style, and have released a new album and will embark on a concert tour in the fall. The album, entitled The Block was released on September 2, 2008.
