Dokken finally released their first full-length album when the L.A. glam metal scene was just starting to break mainstream, although the group had been active since the late 1970s along with such bands as Van Halen. The album never broke the Top 100 on the Billboard 200, but has sold steadily over the years and is likely eligible for Gold status (selling over 500,000 copies) in the US, although the band has never been awarded a Gold record for this release. In contrast, the title track reached #32 on mainstream rock charts.
