"Somebody" is a song written by Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance for Adams 1984 album Reckless. It was released as a single in late-1984 peaking #1 in the US Mainstream Rock Tracks for 2 weeks. It was also a Top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 charts in March of 1985.

In 1989, the song was re-released on a worldwide Greenpeace supporting album by various artists. Adams and Vallance also donated some of the royalties from the song the Greenpeace.

The song is about relationships, but in the second verse it implicitly refers to World War I's soldiers. Adams' grandfather fought in World War I and Vallance's grandmother's brother died.
