Tim Kane is a senior fellow in research and policy at the Kauffman Foundation, and was the lead editor and author of the 2007 Index of Economic Freedom. He is also a contributor to the blog: Growthology.

Jeff Madrick is editor of Challenge magazine, visiting professor at The Cooper Union, and director of policy research at the Schwartz Center for Economic Policy Analysis. He is author of The Case for Big Government.
