Synopsis:

BEGINNERS (BEGINNERS) explores the humor, confusion and love through the growing maturity of Oliver Fields (Ewan McGregor, nominated for a Golden Globe), he meets the irreverent and unpredictable Anna (Mélanie Laurent, Inglourious Basterds) few months after the death of his father, Hal Fields (Christopher Plummer was nominated for an Oscar). Because of this relationship, Oliver remembers growing from his father, that after death the wife with whom he lived 45 years, out of the closet to enjoy a full gay life and full of energy with Andy (Goran Visnjic), a much younger man. The sheer honesty of Hal was the father and son feel much closer than before. Now, Oliver strives to love Anna with courage, humor and hope that his father bequeathed him.
