What do you get if you mix a drink with Powermetal band Human Fortress and melodic hard rockers Jaded Heart? You get a drink called The Trophy.
Behind this project you will find Human Fortress guitarist Todd Wolff and former Jaded Heart singer Michael Bormann and together they have made a great melodic hardrock album with modern elements.
I have to say that this album took me by surprise and it's filled with very catchy hooklines, crunchy guitars and a powerful production.

Just listen to the awesome opening track The Gift Of Life with stunning hooks and a catchy chorus with huge background vocals that will hook you up, did someone say Jaded Heart?
Get The Cup is a strong sports anthem with strong hooklines and melodies.
Justice is an up-tempo fantastic song with splendid riffs and melodies.

Liar is another fantastic song with a brilliant chorus that won't leave your head because it's filled with tons of hooks. Michael Bormann sings outstanding throughout the whole album and you won't find many weak moments on this album.
I think this is how Jaded Heart would have sounded like if Michael had been in the band today. This is a fine slice of melodic hardrock with a big arena sound. A great surprise and must be checked out by fans of Jaded Heart.
