Glen Velez - 5 Albums torrent

5 genre bending albums by this amazing frame drum percussionist and visionary composer. Glen first came to prominence in the early Steve Reich ensemble and contributed performances to the premiers of "6 Pianos" and "Drumming". The music presented here finds Velez composing for various groupings from overdubbed solo works, multiple frame drummers, frame drummers plus bansuri bamboo flute and harmonica. There is also use of harmonic vocalizing on several pieces. This is some of the most original music I have heard and is a perfect development of the Reich approach to minimalism.
