Jonas is indeed a manic bass shredder but he tempers this with a fanatical interest in just about every genre of music. From the acoustic settings to hard rock fusion blowouts presented here the listener is kept engaged throughout due to the quality of the compositions and ensemble playing. This collection is worth it alone for the albums featuring the great Shawn Lane who alas is no longer with us.
