Taras Bulba (alternative title Zaporizhian Sich) is an upcoming historical drama film, based on a novel of the same title by Nikolai Gogol. The movie has been filmed on different locations in Ukraine such as Zaporizhia, Khotyn and Kamianets-Podilskyi as well as in Poland. The official release was rescheduled several times; most recently the November 2008 [1] release was moved forward to winter 2009 [2] . It is not yet known whether the first (1835) Ukrainian version of the story or the second (1842) pro-Russian version was used for the screen play.
