Kalashnikov is a Portuguese band, formed in 2007. Their musical style is defined by them as wartime Rock 'n' Roll. Its lyrical themes stand out for the war, guns, death, violence and destruction.

The Kalashnikov had already appeared in the "Revolt of Custards" one of many sketches of humorist Jel, who later would work for RTP and then to the Sic Radical, which participates as a humorist's main program "Anything Goes Down" and then on "The Fight Continues."

Jel, to realize the idea of creating a band ironic and satirical, with the aim to be the most original band and Portuguese international, created the Kalashnikov. It was first joined his brother David (Cobra - guitarist) followed by Witch and Rambo.

The band appeared on more prominence through a sketch of the program Vai Everything Below, where two of the members integral part (Jel, as Duro, and Vasco, but Snakes).

In 2008 were part of festivals "Oeiras Alive" and "Alliance Fest" (along with bands like Moonspell, Finntroll among others).
