Synopsis:
Jane (Renée Zellweger), a former singer who was paralyzed after an accident, receives news of her son, Devon. The boy is brought into contact with her mother because she wants to invite her to his communion. Despite fears that Jane does to meet his son after a few years and face his past, his friend (Forest Whitaker) is able to convince her to undertake the journey across the United States. Throughout the trip and thanks to people who find themselves in the road, Jane composed his most beautiful love song.

Sinopsis:
Jane (Renée Zellweger), una ex-cantante que se quedó paralítica tras un accidente, recibe noticias de su hijo, Devon. El chico se pone en contacto con su madre porque quiere invitarla a su comunión. A pesar del temor que le produce a Jane encontrarse con su hijo al cabo de unos años y afrontar su pasado, su amigo (Forest Whitaker) logra convencerla de emprender el periplo a través de Estados Unidos.
