Danny (Tony Schiena), een gerespecteerde agent, wordt erin geluisd nadat een politieonderzoek verkeerd afloopt en hij wordt overgebracht naar een staatsgevangenis. Hij probeert zichzelf rustig te houden in zijn cel en zijn tijd uit te zitten. De gevangenis wordt echter gerund door de maffiabaas Vargas (Vinnie Jones), die illegale kooigevechten houdt in het ketelhuis. Hoewel iedereen hem dood wil hebben ziet Vargas in hem een goede entertainer voor zijn gevechten. Ondertussen krijgt Danny hulp van Irving, een voormalig martial arts kampioen, die hem traint en voorziet van goede raad. Een agente van \'Internal Affairs\' probeert Danny\'s onschuld te bewijzen en hem op vrije voeten te stellen. Als hij tenminste levend uit de kooi kan komen.

Danny (Tony Schiena), a respected agent, is framed after a police investigation seriously wrong, and he is transferred to a state prison. He tries to keep himself calm in his cell and have time to sit. The prison is run by the Mafia boss but Vargas (Vinnie Jones), who takes illegal cage fighting in the boiler room. While everyone wants him dead Vargas sees in him a great entertainer for his fights. Meanwhile, Danny gets help from Irving, a former martial arts champion, who trains and provides good advice. An agent of the Internal Affairs\' attempts to prove Danny\'s innocence and set him at liberty. If he is alive can come out of the cage.
