REPRIS ar en film om vanskap, galenskap och kreativitet, om karlek och sorg, stora ambitioner och den ofta obehagliga kollisionen mellan unga forvantningar och verklighet.
Erik och Phillip ar bada arelystna forfattare, som vill skriva den stora romanen om deras generation. Eriks roman blir ratad, men Phillips blir publicerad med stort mottagande. Men, Phillip far snart ett sammanbrott, delvis utlost av hans hangivna relation med sin flickvan, Kari. Nar Phillip atervander fran sex manader pa sjukhus forsoker han vinna tillbaka Kari, medan Erik fortfarande skriver med okande framgang.
Filmen foljer Phillip, Erik och deras vanner med ett spannande filmiskt sprak som speglar kulturen hos ett gang typiska pojkar i 23-ars aldern. En film som ar full av kontraster i sin form och hos karaktarernas liv, Repris kan ses som en subtil reflektion pa ungdomen som en tid av loften, planer och forvantningar som gradvis upploses under inverkan av livserfarenhet.

Filmen gar upp pa biografer i USA den 16: maj. Vilket ar mycket ovanligt for en utlandsk film.
Biograferna brukar domineras av mindre an tjugo av de mest saljande amerikanska filmerna.

Nu ar det antligen bevisat: norrmannen kan ocksa gor bra film.
Riktigt bra film. En oerhort drivet berattad norsk variant av
Jules & Jim. En bildbegavning, den dar Trier (bara avlagsen
slakt till Lars von Trier). Reprise har varit ute pa dvdmarknaden
ett tag men annu ej dykt upp i svensk pressning. Vi far halla till
godo med importdvd, med engelsk text.
