SINOPSIS: Al volver a casa tras su último triunfo, Rocky se da cuenta de que toda la fortuna lograda durante todos sus combates, ha desaparecido en manos de su asesor financiero. Para empeorar aún más las cosas, las heridas sufridas durante su carrera como boxeador, le obligan a retirarse del ring. Arruinado y sin posibilidad alguna de volver a combatir, Rocky decide trasladarse junto con su mujer y su hijo Rocky Jr. a un barrio de las afueras en el Sur de California. Allí tendrá que luchar por recuperar a su hijo, resentido por la excesiva atención que Rocky presta a un joven boxeador, Tommy Gunn, al que entrena para convertirle en una estrella internacional.
Pero todo se complica aún más cuando Tommy se enfrenta públicamente a Rocky, obligándole a luchar una vez más. El espectáculo está servido.
CRITICA: Última entrega (nota: en el 2006 volvería con "Rocky Balboa") de la exitosa saga, que finaliza por el desgaste de sus repetitivos argumentos y con un público saturado tras cuatro interminables películas.
