Recorded 16th November 1993 at Nottingham's premier rock venue - Rock City - this audience recording of the Brock, Chadwick & Davey lineup shows that Hawkwind can still rock even when there's only three of them. Although there's rather a bit too much ambient keyboard wandering here for my liking (the opening chords of "Psychedelic Warlords" are played on what sounds like a Bontempi organ!), luckily the sparseness of the aural landscape leaves more room for the Captain's guitar-work and that's always a good thing. Plus there's a rare live outing for Brock's "Green Finned Demon".

It obviously isn't the whole gig, as there are swathes of tracks missing (see Starfarer's Gig Lists - http://www.starfarer.net/gigs1993.html), leading to some obvious mid-song jump-cuts. So what's the quality like? Well, remembering the layout of Rock City as I do, it was probably recorded from upstairs, so although it sounds stereo, it's too far away for much in the way of separation, but for an audience recording it's certainly very clear.

Basically if you like "The Business Trip Live", you'll like this. I was in Nottingham when this was recorded, but didn't get to the gig. I wish I had now.
