In a full-page ad running in todayâ??s New York Times, Common Cause asks citizens to sign a petition demanding the next leaders of this nation work to respect human rights, restore Americaâ??s reputation abroad, end torture, respect the rule of law, uphold the Constitution and hold accountable those who break the law or violate public trust. Common Cause is also asking all candidates running for Congress and the presidency to sign the pledge.
