Glenn Gould made a number of highly original radio documentaries for the CBC, layering and interweaving multiple speech, music, and sound tracks to a achieve an effect he called "contrapuntal radio". Primary among these are the Solitude Trilogy and a brilliant documentary about Stokowski. Also included is a piece about Casals, which I find kind of annoying.
