What we have in this download is the work of a couple of people that created a FAR BETTER sounding mix than the retail original, which is based on the Guitar Hero 3 Soundtrack (which sounded SO good compared to the retail release, that the controversy it created resulted in this RIP and others like it).

Included in this package is the link to the ONLINE PETITION created by Fans to try to convince Metallica to re-mix/master the retail package for re-release - so PLEASE SIGN IT.

What was done to create this package:

Metallica - Death Magnetic (GH3 FLACs Remastered - WAVs)

These are remastered FLACs of the ‘paulisme’ FLAC GH3 rips of Death Magnetic.

- First downloaded the ‘paulisme’ FLAC rip of GH3.

- Using Audacity (1.3 beta version) opened up the FLACs and Export as WAV files.

- Opened the WAV files in Soundforge 9.0 and under the EQ - Graphic option under the Process menu use these settings in the ’10 Band’ tab (thanks to Pastor of muppets 70).

- Then Normalised the files in Soundforge 9.0 (using the default set-up)

- Resaved and then opened in Audacity (1.3 beta version)

- Exported the song as a FLAC.

This might not be the perfect setting for you but this sounds AMAZING to me.

I simply threw in the "link" to the ONLINE PETITION, a Google Search Link and some cheezy Cover Art that I created in about 10 seconds for all of you 'thumbnail' junkies out there, as I use thumbnail view on my FLAC Album collection so that it almost looks like a 'real' album collection...lol....and last but not least, renamed the Folder/Package.

Anyways, Sign the petition, share this as much as possible...and show Metallica that FANS RULE, because it seems as though at times, Metallica really doesn't like it's fans....ONLY THE MONEY THAT COMES FROM THEM. Lars even goes as far as to INSULT the fans in recent interviews and the so-called "Internet" while defending the sound quality of Death Magnetic......is he serious ?

Fuck You Metallica, in this case, THIS DOWNLOAD is the BEST option currently available and utill YOU COME OUT WITH A BETTER RELEASE, THIS PACKAGE AND OTHERS LIKE IT WILL RULE SUPREME ! ......jackasses.
