We learn to cope and tell ourselves we are not meant to swim. Then, the miracle happens, we overcome the fear of water, swim, and the whole world opens in front of us. After a lifetime of water phobia, the transformation included becoming a water aerobics and a swim instructor at age fifty-two. I went from fear to freedom in the water. This is my story. Now I Swim.
