Nel 1955 si incontrarono diventando amici due giovani sul punto di dare una svolta alla propria carriera artistica. Un momento complesso per loro, quello in cui dimostrare a se stessi prima che altri altri di valere non solo per il proprio talento, ma anche per le scelte che avrebbero compiuto. I due erano James Dean, il cui film La valle dell’Eden stava per uscire nei cinema, e il fotografo dell’agenzia Magnum Dennis Stock. A quest’ultimo venne commissionato un servizio fotografico sull’attore stella nascente di 23 anni.

In 1955 they met two young men becoming friends about to make a change in his career. A complex moment for them, the one in which to prove themselves before others others to apply not only for their talent, but also for the choices they have made. The two were James Dean, whose film East of Eden was going out in theaters, and the Magnum photographer Dennis Stock. The latter was commissioned a photo shoot on the actor rising star of 23 years.
