Synopsis:
Topu a.k.a Pakaram (Soham Maitra) is a young lad who dreams of flying and his imagination carries him away so that he is always late in class and the butt of jokes of his teachers and fellow students alike. Yet, he has talent and can draw beautifully. His closest friend is Raja, but raja's father does not like their friendship and the influnce of Topu and sends Raja to Kolkata for studies. More heartbreak for Topu as his friend and one of the few adults who understands his free spirit - Dipak Kaku - also has to go away to Delhi. Raja too is desperately unhappy, for Topu has taught him to dream and his urban school is an alien land for him..

Things go from bad to worse and just when everything seems all lost, the two friends are united again, by force of circumstance.

A good DVD which needed only a slight color correction to bring out the original shades. A little bit of detail enhancement has also helped. Enjoy the movie. It is an award winning film that showcases the beauty of rural Bengal in many of its facets.
