Porter Wren è il giornalista di un tabloid newyorchese che si occupa di notizie scandalistiche. Tra le mura di casa si comporta come un marito modello che ama con dolcezza la moglie. La sua vita cambia radicalmente quando un'affascinante sconosciuta gli chiede di indagare sull'omicidio del marito regista. Porter cede al suo fascino ma si ritrova coinvolto in una relazione molto pericolosa. Trascinato in un'avventura apparentemente senza via d'uscita, sarà costretto a mettere in discussione il suo matrimonio, la sua professione e la sua stessa vita.

Porter Wren is a New York tabloid journalist who deals with tabloid news. Within the walls of the house it acts as a model husband who loves his wife gently. His life changes when an attractive stranger asks him to investigate the murder of filmmaker husband. Porter gives in to his charms, but finds himself in a very dangerous relationship. Dragged into an adventure with no apparent way out, it will be forced to question his marriage, his profession and his own life.
