Bo Diddley works his patented hambone beat derived from '40s Southwestern bands (who called the rhythm "cut and shave") on "Bring It to Jerome," "Roadrunner," "Hey Bo Diddley" ,and "Mona." His doo wop roots sprout on "I'm Sorry" and "Tonight Is Ours." And he marries blues and R&B on Willie Dixon's "You Can't Judge a Book By Looking at the Cover."
