Nadat Sam Witwicky is afgestudeerd, lukt het hem niet om werk te vinden en dat zet de relatie met zijn vriendin Carly onder druk.
Sam ontdekt dat de NASA tijdens de eerste maanlanding in 1961 een gestrand ruimteschip heeft aangetroffen afkomstig van de planeet Cybertron,
waar de moedige Autobots een bittere strijd voerden tegen de boosaardige Decepticons. Wanneer Optimus Prime, de leider van de Autobots,
hoort van het ruimteschip op de maan, plant hij een missie om de waardevolle Zuilen aan boord veilig te stellen.
Sam ontdekt echter dat de Decepticons hem voor zijn geweest en met de Zuilen een ruimtebrug maken die een heel leger naar de aarde brengt.
Kunnen Sam en de Autobots voorkomen dat de Decepticons de mensen tot hun slaven maken?

Storyline

The Autobots learn of a Cybertronian spacecraft hidden on the Moon, and race against the Decepticons to reach it and to learn its secrets.
After Sam Witwicky has graduated, he was not able to find work and put the relationship with his girlfriend Carly pressure.
Sam discovers that NASA during the first moon landing in 1961 has found a stranded spaceship from the planet Cybertron,
where the brave Autobots conducted a bitter struggle against the evil Decepticons. When Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots,
part of the spacecraft on the moon, he plans a mission on board the valuable Columns secure.
Sam discovers that the Decepticons have been with him for a space bridge, the pillars create a whole army to earth.
Can Sam and the Autobots Decepticons prevent people to make their slaves?
