SYNOPSIS

Synopsis (based on MovieKids): Remake of 1931 version. Powerful and great film starring Ricky Schroder (T.J.) on his debut, as the son of an ex boxer. T.J. lives with the hope that his dad will go back into the ring one day. His dad has no intent of doing it, but after a succession of bad luck, culminating with the return of T.J.'s mother (someone T.J. had thought dead because of her long absence), he goes back into the ring, where he wins... and loses. A tremendous performance by Ricky Schroder giving one of the greatest performances by a child actor ever seen.
