Down on the bayou, we are taught from a young age how to live off the land and water if we have to, knowing that nothing in life is a sure thing. Most families in our neck of the swamp, have a fisherman, or hunter or two in the household, who brings home wild game and fish to cook for supper, and keeps our freezers filled until Hurricane Season.
