Helsinki-based musician Ringa Manner's solo musical endevours. A subtle mix of strong vocals and angelic harmonies, topped with pop melodies, and clever lyrics. Some can sense hints of Freddie Mercury, Owen Pallet, Kate Bush and Björk.

Warm vocal harmonies, arbitrary melodies and moving rhythms – that is THE HEARING’s second album Adrian. Singer and Songwriter Ringa Manner released an album between dark and minimalistic tracks, dreamy synth-pop and industrial soundscapes. Her voice changes with ease from tender and angelic to raw and powerful. The unexpected but catchy melodies never get in the way of understanding the lyrics. They are sometimes direct, like in the opener track Straight Teeth and sometimes poetic, like the first single Backwards or Robot vs. Human Heart. Towards the end of the album we get a brief overview of THE HEARING’s artistic repertoire: Kabeldon is a heavy and sinister industrial sound-collage followed by the upbeat and poppy Faint. The last track ends like its name promises on a very dreamy and literally high note.
