ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Somewhat by chance, the three of us found each other in 2014 across the big spread of Sullivan County in the southeast nook of the Catskill mountains. Originally just playing some covers for fun, we became Moon Dog - named after the lunar phenomenon and not the composer from NYC, Moondog, who is amazing in a totally different way!

John is our guitarist and songwriter, Rachel plays the squeezebox and Jenny is on ukulele - the three of us sing as well. We are grateful to John for his great song compositions, which slowly came together over the course of a year and were inspired by friends, family and the gorgeous scenery around us. This album was born out of many practice sessions in John's basement - we are grateful also to his wife and two children, who were often our test audience.

We hope you enjoy our brand of simple, heartfelt folk tunes - come out and hear us play some time, as we're often performing and local festivals, events and restaurants in our area.
