Why is it when I really want to get certain album (new EIDOLON, new MANTICORA, LOST HORIZON), I get stuck with new releases sent to me from bands no one has ever heard of?

ENDLESS is yet another Brazilian band on the Megahard-line-up that plays a sort of Progressive Power Metal-style ala BLIND GUARDIAN. But unlike labelmates HEAVEN'S GUARDIAN, these boys have a much better vocalist that seems to able to hide his accent and sounds like he knows how to speak our language. I have to admit, Victor Veiga is pretty good, he has nice range to his voice, he knows his vocal capacities and he always sticks to them. He reminds me of a poor man's Michael Kiske and that's a great thing.

No question about it, these boys are probably one of the best South American bands out there. The guitars have a very hard edge, writing riffs that are catchy and stick in your head for a while. Tracks are like frantic, high cholesterol HELLOWEEN, but without the excellent lyrics or catchy choruses. The recording values are flat and very distorted, it just doesn't sound right (sounds like demo recordings), but it really doesn't hurt the music that much.

My major complaint is with the lyrics (once again), they need to catch up with the world standards, as is the case with most bands outside the British, North American, German, or Scandinavian metal mainstream. Tracks like "Intro", which is the seventh track and is actually a song (hehehe) and "Eagle's Top", nice one, huh, (I'm not even going to go into the actual words) have to be gotten rid of.

One of the top Megahard-releases , but its not really saying to much, is it?
