In late 1999, Corey Hennis, Chet Slater and Todd Mahoney, three Boise area musicians, began collaborating on a new project. The rules were simple ... there wouldn't be any ... and there would not be a frontman. In fact, there would be nothing traditional about the band or the creative process. This was a result of years spent playing in other local bands and dealing with the usual pitfalls of band politics, egos and creative input. The members shared a similar passion and vision for electronic music. Today, Mend are working on several projects: www.mendmusic.com received a facelift. The entire CD "In Spite Of It All" was posted in mp3 format free for anyone to download. Those who truly enjoy the music can support the band by purchasing the entire CD package. Along those lines new evolutions of songs, remixes, and experiments will be posted for download that will not be available anywhere else. You can also expect alternative CD covers and new artwork for these tracks posted for download. A new full length CD, new singles and remixes are scheduled for completion in the future. Mend are also working on a double disc conceptual album that will explore some new ground.
