Basil Poledouris est un compositeur de bandes originales connu pour ses collaborations avec des
réalisateurs comme Paul Verhoeven (Robocop), John McTiernan (À la Poursuite d’Octobre Rouge) et John
Milius (Conan le Barbare).

Il signe, à l’occasion de cette dernière collaboration, une bande-son magistrale accompagnant la
quête initiatique, de mort, de force, de vengeance et d’identité du héros campé par Arnold
Schwarzenegger avec brio.

Cette édition est un coffret 3×CD arrangée pour le trentième anniversaire qui, au-delà d’offrir une
meilleure qualité, a aussi été ré-orchestré, ré-arrangée et re-mixée sous la supervision du
compositeur avant que celui-ci ne nous quitte. Difficilement trouvable, elle offre néanmoins une
expérience à part entière, presque dissociable du film pour laquelle elle a été composée.

De plus, le troisième CD livre des pistes encore jamais diffusées ainsi que des version originales
de certains morceaux.
