Another kayokyoku idol I just discovered now, and wow I am missing out. Cute vocals, melodic arrangements, what more could you ask for?
Mako Ishino debuted at the age of 16 in 1977 and was initially active until her sudden retirement in 1981 due to her feigning for a married life. Sadly, that marriage only lasted until 1983 in which she returned back to show business a whole, not just as a idol singer, but mostly as an actress which is clearly shown as during that time, she only released one album and a few singles from 1985 to 1987, denoting that she wanted to focus more on acting. She had another short-lived marriage in the 90s then returned back to singing in 2003 (but still not as much as acting, of course). Until now, she is both singing and acting (she has been in a lot of dramas, and it seems like that's not gonna stop). Enjoy the music! :>
