However, Yoshioka's children, worried about their father's health, send an off-model housekeeping robot called Ponko to help him. Unusual for the age, as human-like robots are then considered obsolete, Ponko does her best to serve Yoshioka, but her "best" is not that good. Yoshioka's quiet life is now changing, as this eager but ditzy robot girl manages to keep his hands full...
