Everybody knows L’Arc-en-Ciel, right? In 2000 the band went on hiatus, although did not official break up; the various members went on to pursue solo careers. Vocalist Hideto Takarai, better known as HYDE—he would always use full upper-case for his solo work. In 2002 he released Roentgen, his first solo album. HYDE followed up with this album, 666, twenty-one months later. And then he went to start in the film Moon Child alongside Camui Gackt, which was, eh…. But after that L’Arc-en-Ciel returned to active performance and HYDE would not release another solo album for two years.
