「隣人のはずだった～限界集落 5人殺害事件～」
山口県周南市の限界集落で、故郷にUターンして暮らしていた保見光成死刑囚が、1晩のうちに住民5人を殺害、2軒の住宅に火を放った事件。親族や親友を失った住民たちは、なぜ、あのような惨事が起きたのかを考え続けてきた。保見の死刑判決を前に、住民が語った言葉からは、都会からUターンしてきた男と、住民たちの思いのすれ違いが、やがて埋められない溝となっていった過程が見えてきた。
