If you've been waiting for the official subs or English dub, here you go.
But there's a catch. Or two or three. I'll do a QA-style thing to explain.
Q: Why are there two mkv files and why are they both 20GB?
A: Because that's how the BD came and because I don't do video encoding so I just ran the BD through MakeMKV and voila. Yes, I could have got the m2ts files but I don't care. But this is more of a thing for myself anyway, so...
Q: Okay, but what are the two mkv files then?
A: The first one (
t01) has the Japanese audio and the second one (t02) has the English audio. Now I know what you're thinking. Why didn't I just put the other audio file on the other mkv? And to that, I have an answer. The file with the Japanese audio has a hardsubbed video. Also, the English audio file has closed captions which you can freely enable or disable. I think they both have two different audio streams too but that's another thing I don't know much about.
I think that about covers it.
tl;dr
File 1 (
t01): Japanese audio + hardsubs
File 2 (t02): English audio + closed captions
Oh yea, I think my upload speed is only like 10mbps so until one of you vultures somehow manages to fully download either of the files, don't expect to watch it anytime soon.
Extra info if you're interested:
Mediainfo says these two files have a bitrate of 19.9Mb/s. The Japanese BD, which I also own, is 30GB and has 35.5Mb/s. Do with that what you will.
EDIT: I hadn't realized before, but the credits on the first (Japanese) mkv are in Japanese and English on the second (English dub) mkv. Wouldn't be a bad idea if you wanted to splice off the English credits and slap those onto the Japanese BD.
Although it's a bit misleading when the CC says this...

But the ending credits say this...

btw the hardsubs have "Ariel". So I'm not entirely sure why there's a different spelling to begin with lol
