Torrent Description
\[notRumbel\] Gintama Episode 152 Subtitles
Please read if you have the time.
So as you may have seen in the last torrent, I switched raw providers. Honestly, the two raw providers available for the blu-rays are both lacking in someway. SOFCJs release is distorted and the colors are off, and the YYDM release is bit starved. YYDM is without a doubt the better choice, but with that being said, it's really just the "lesser of two evils".
So instead, I've decided to only release the softsubs, without using a raw, and leave it up to you what you want to do. My only suggestion to you, is to avoid the sofcj raw. Choose between using the DVD or the YYDM Bluray release (\#711886).
Also a few apologies. I didn't encode any of the releases, they were all straight raws (ie. I didn't do anything to them to reduce file size). Although there was nothing I could have done to the YYDM release since it was already bitstarved, but I could have encoded the SOFCJ raw (when I was using it) and shaved off 200mb~ without losing any quality.
Unfortunately I didn't know how to encode until I realized how badly these RAWs were encoded, and as a result I spent a day learning (I'm now semi-confident in my ability to do a decent encode). The plan was that I'd learn to encode and do my own encode based on the files straight from the blu-ray, however they are on private trackers that I don't have access to. Once I get access to the unedited blu-rays, I will begin releasing complete MKVs. Until then, I will be releasing the softsubs on their own. I will be using the YYDM Raws as reference for the timing, however you can probably plug it into the DVD Raws (the intro and outro will be mistimed by a few milliseconds, not a big deal though).
tl;dr: I will continue doing the subtitles until I can get my hands on either the straight BD content, or better raws. You can mix these subtitles with either the YYDM Raws (\#711886) or the DVD Raws.
Thanks to everyone who has downloaded my releases so far, and sorry for this mess. I should have just done the subtitles from the beginning.
