Rex Brown, former bassist for Kill Devil Hill, Down and Pantera, has released his first solo album, Smoke On This..., in the style of classic '70s southern rock. The LP was inspired by the works of Led Zeppelin, Foghat and Tom Waits. On the record, the musician first showed himself not only as a bassist, but also as a guitarist and vocalist. “I’m a child of the seventies, I grew up in the seventies listening to rock and roll. Back then, it was just music, there weren’t different genres and subgenres, and I just wanted to get back to the spirit of that music and have fun with my musician friends.” said Rex Brown in a recent interview
