We see many familiar names in the O.R.k. quartet. Vocalist of the group Lorenzo Esposito Fornasari (Berserk! and Obake (Draugr)). Australian bassist Colin Edwin played with him in the last project, but in general he constantly works with British prog-rockers Porcupine Tree and has repeatedly appeared in other bands as well. And the drummer of the current King Crimson line-up, American Pat Mastelotto, has already played with Fornasari in Berserk! Perhaps, only with the Italian guitarist Carmelo Pipitone from Marta Sui Tubi we meet for the first time. Pipitone's guitar riffs and the rhythm band's aggressive work make O.R.k. quite tough, but the structural complexity of the compositions and the sophistication of the sound leave no doubt that the group belongs to prog-rock. The main "trump card" O.R.k. is Fornasari's vocals. This Italian singer received an operatic education in his time, and even in Soul Of An Octopus he sometimes makes it felt. Good range of voice, dramatic talent and versatility make Fornasari the undisputed frontman of O.R.k. His vocals in Heaven Proof House even allowed the authors of the press release to compare Lorenzo with ... Leonard Cohen ...
