NOTE: This version is a recode of the original BD50 Blu-ray release. This is the medium quality recode, suitable for streaming on high end connections or for local playback on older hardware. The audio tracks have been preserved in their original AC3 quality from the Blu-ray, as this is a movie where sound is very important, so it seemed foolish to recode it. Also, this is an MKV because I wanted to preserve the custom font and coloring of the subtitles, which isn't possible with an MP4 file.

It's all happening!!! This is an extended version of Untitled: The Bootleg Cut, AKA "Almost Famous," the Cameron Crowe film from 2000. The deleted scenes were cleaned as best as possible using Topaz Video Enhance AI and reinserted, with painstaking attention taken to make the transitions as smooth as possible. In some cases this involved heavy editing of the 5.1 sound bed. Also, the version of Stairway To Heaven used in that scene comes from the official surround release of Led Zeppelin IV (AKA ZOSO), so it sounds pretty great. Also has custom PGS subtitles using the font Cooper Becker Poster Black, which is a very common 70s rock poster font. I also edited the commentary track so it stays in sync despite the insertion of scenes without commentary. Those scenes have the original audio included, and I also added a hidden easter egg of director Crowe discussing the Leslie scene to the commentary track. And as far as placement of the Leslie scene is concerned, I went back to the original script and found where it should go in the film and placed it there, even though there were other unfilmed scenes in the script around it to give it more context, so that's worth reading if you can Google and track it down. In all this edit took me over a month of 8 hour days working on it, and I even took a break for over a week before releasing it because I was so burned out I couldn't prepare this info file.
