With that done, we'll move to survival in comfort - making some additional simple preparations and purchases that will take us from merely surviving to begin able to ride out the storm in relative comfort and keep our family safe.Finally, we’ll close out with a broader discussion of how you can create a home and a lifestyle that is more disaster-resistant, and less reliant on society’s plan A for you and your family. We’ll talk about solar power and about designing a house from the very beginning to need less power – less power needed is less power you’ll have to replace when the power goes out.Together, we’ll think about what we wished we thought about before the problem, and create a solid plan for surviving the next disaster.
