Installation:

Extract "Diablo II.rar" to C:\Program Files\ (or anywhere else for that matter) using WinRAR.

Once extracted, create a shortcut to Diablo II.exe on your desktop. Right click on the shortcut, and add " -w" to the shortcut target line. Click apply and OK. This will run Diablo II windowed.

To get the drop mod working:

Create another shortcut to Diablo II.exe on your desktop, this time add " -w -direct -txt" to the shortcut target line. Click Apply and OK. Enjoy!

To get D2SE Mod Manager working.

Create a shortcut to D2SE.exe on your desktop
Run D2SE and run the video test when prompted.
Let video test complete and use the recommended settings. Run D2SE and enjoy!!


To be sure the game runs properly:

Right click one of the Diablo II shortcuts you have already made, click the Compatibility tab, check Run in This Program in Compatibility Mode for Windows XP SP2.Then the game will work PERFECTLY, without any glitches, distortions, etc.

BE SURE TO CHECK EVERY BOX IN THE COMPATIBILITY TAB OF THE PROPERTIES SCREEN IF THE GAME IS DISTORTED AFTER DOING ALL OF THE ABOVE. THEN TRY TO RUN IN COMPATIBILITY FOR EARLIER VERSIONS OF WINDOWS (95, 98, 2000/me, ETC) IF THE PROBLEM STILL PERSISTS.

THE ABOVE ERROR ONLY HAPPENS ON HIGH-END PC'S (Usually Windows 7 and vista)
