The award winning British children's show Numberblocks follows the adventures of ten anthropomorphic block characters in Numberland, with the number of blocks determining which numeral they stand for and a tiny black floating numerical figure above them to show how many blocks they are made of, called a "Numberling". When one of the blocks jumps on top of another, they transform into a different character to make a new number. The show tries to help preschool children learn numeracy skills, especially how to count and add up.

It's popularity amongst young children led to rapid global distribution and swept up awards in numerous countries including the Prix Jeunesse (France), The Japan Prize Audiovisual Pre-school and even a prestigious BAFTA in 2019. The TV Show's ability to connect with pre-schoolers and effectively teach the concept of numbers through songs has encouraged government education departments to include Numberblocks as a classroom teaching aid, with the series featuring as part of multiple national curriculum's for the youngest of students.
