A mod on the America's Army forums say that this patch is unauthorized, meant for the server version, and will cause upgrade problems in the future. I've installed it myself and though I haven't played around with it much it appears to be working fine. Proceed at your own risk.

*Installation Instructions*
1. Install America's Army 2.8.4 (If you are a member of Demonoid, you can find a torrent with the files needed to get you to 2.8.4 without using the Deploy Client here:
2. Open the America's 2.8.4 to 2.8.5 Patch (File_609_ _aa_patch_284_to285.zip).
3. Extract the files to C:\Program Files\America's Army or wherever you have the game installed.
4. Windows should alert you that you have files and folders of the same name. Merge the folders and replace the files.
5. Enjoy!
