The game starts with Strong Bad typing on his laptop about the upcoming and long-awaited Dangeresque 3 movie. He invited his friends over in his basement and puts in a video cassette of the movie featuring Strong Bad playing the role of Dangeresque and Homestar Runner as Dangeresque Too, where they try to solve puzzle crimes in an RPG environment.

Dangeresque 3: The Criminal Projective has so far received generally positive reviews from critics. WiiWare World gave the game 8 out of 10. They called the game 'easily the best episode yet' and hoped the series finale would be even better.
