The STEREO Atomic Basie! (1957) - FLAC] torrent

This great album from 1957 was recorded in true stereo, however the compact disc reissue is in dreadful mono. Original stereo pressings of the album had the catalog number SR 52003. The files here are in FLAC format, dubbed and restored from the 15 ips 2-track stereo master tape for the album, not dubbed from vinyl and de-clicked. The album was painstakingly restored using digital mastering tools, then saved to both WAV and FLAC files. To hear Neal Hefti's arrangements of "The Kid from Red Bank," "Fantail," "Splanky" and "Li'l Darlin'" in beautiful, wide stereo is a treat to behold! Don't miss this one!
