Death, Consciousness and the Self torrent

Dear Brothers, the subject is, of course, hardly pleasing.
Yet, it will happen to all of us.
Or better said: it will happen to our bodies.
We are born and we will die.
In the West, we know but one clear example of one who has risen after death.
Nonetheless, this was seemingly a major problem to an emerging church.
Jesus Christ was quite literally the living proof of death being conquerable.
Besides, he could no longer die.
He, I mean Jesus, was actually the best evidence for the truth of Christianity.
For one reason or the other he ascended to heaven after 40 days and vanished from sight by a cloud.
With the knowledge we now possess, we know he likely suffocated in the higher atmospheres
